Bring your own key
Add an OpenRouter key and use eligible models through no-logging/no-training/ZDR routing. The plaintext key stays on this device; an encrypted copy may sync with your settings. Content goes browser-direct to OpenRouter and never through Lunes servers.
Run a local model
Connect to Ollama or LM Studio on this machine, or to an allowlisted custom HTTPS endpoint. Content goes directly to that endpoint and does not pass through Lunes servers. Hosted endpoints follow their operator's privacy and billing policies.

Default · recoverableLunes keeps a KMS-locked spare key so you can always get back in by signing in. That means we can technically decrypt your documents through a gated, logged recovery path: convenience, with a clear trade-off.
Advanced
Zero-knowledgeOnly you hold your keys. New devices need your passkey, master password, or recovery phrase. We cannot recover your data, and we cannot read it.
What about the AI?
To critique a draft, its text must reach a model. Built-in AI and OpenRouter BYO are pinned to no-logging/no-training/ZDR routing; other custom endpoints follow that provider's policy; and with a local model, nothing ever leaves your device.
